JUSTIFICATION FOR DATA WAIVING
In accordance with section 1 of REACH Annex XI, the self-ignition temperature study (required in section 7.12 of Annex VII) is scientifically unjustified. The substance is an inorganic oxide in which the inorganic element is present in its highest possible oxidation state. Erbium (III) oxide is an inorganic oxide in which the inorganic element, Erbium, is in its highest possible oxidation state, +3. As such, it is incapable of further reaction with oxygen and thus can be designated as not self-igniting.

Description of key information
