Description of key information

The 72-h ErC50 for algae is > 100 mg/L based on a study performed to OECD TG 201 using Pseudokirchnerella subcapitata. The NOErC from this study is 6.25 mg/L.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

EC50/LC50 for freshwater algae:
100 mg/L
EC10, LC10 or NOEC for freshwater algae:
6.25 mg/L

Additional information

In a GLP study performed to OECD TG 201 [CiToxLAB (2013e)] Pseudokirchnerella subcapitata were exposed to the substance at nominal concentrations of 6.25, 12.5, 25, 50 or 100 mg/L for 72 hours under static conditions. Mean measured concentrations deviated by less than 20 % from nominal values, hence results are based on the nominal values. The 72-h ErC50 was > 100 mg/L. The 72-h NOErC was 6.25 mg/L.
