RESULTS/CONCLUSION

The density at 20 °C was determined to be 0.8119 +/- 0.0001 g/mL, which converts to a relative density of 0.8119 +/- 0.0001. The results of the two measurements are reported below in Table VI-1.

Table VI-1. Results of density measurements at 20 °C

 Run         Density, g/mL

1                      0.8119

2                       0.8119

Executive summary:

The substance 5-methylhexan-2-one has been found to have a relative density of 0.81 at 20°C.
