Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

The hydrolysis is not an important fate process for the substance since hydrocarbons do not undergo reaction with water. Based on the chemical structure of renewable hydrocarbons of wood origin (diesel type fraction), it is resistant to hydrolysis because it lacks functional groups that are hydrolytically reactive. The estimated half-life values in air are applied in the environmental risk assessment with the PETRORISK tool (CONCAWE Library). The stability of this UVCB substance is dependent on the properties of the hydrocarbon blocks identified from the substance. The half-life in air (DT50) varied between 0.64 to 40 h and the values were estimated with HCBIOWIN v4.00 (EPIWIN) tool. See CSR Annex 2 for further details (Assigned structures and their physico-chemical properties).
