Description of key information

Adsorption/desorption: Key study: The koc of sodium trichloroacetate was 2.738 (EPI Suite v3.20, EPA).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Key study: estimated by calculation (EPI Suite v3.20, EPA). The koc of sodium trichloroacetate was 2.738, so it is concluded that sodium trichloroacetate showed a low soil sorption, in particular to the predominately negatively charged soil colloids, because of its physicochemical properties (high water solubility, strong dissociation in aqueous solution).
