Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Under the conditions of this study, the test material was found to have a water solubility of ≤0.00228 g/L in purified water at 20 ± 0.5 °C. It can therefore be described as slightly soluble.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Water solubility:
0.002 g/L
at the temperature of:
20 °C

Additional information

The key study was conducted in line with GLP and the standardised guidelines OECD 105 and EU Method A.6. It was assigned a reliability score of 1 in accordance with the criteria detailed by Klimisch (1997).

The flask shaking test was performed as the test material is inorganic and the column elution method is not recommended for this type of material.

pH was shown to have an effect on the solubility of the test material, which increases as the pH decreases:

Purified water, pH 6.6: ≤0.00228 g/L

Buffer at pH 4: ≤0.260 g/L

Buffer at pH 7: ≤0.00493 g/L

Buffer at pH 9: ≤0.000598 g/L

Under the conditions of this study, the test material was found to have a water solubility of ≤0.00228 g/L in purified water at 20 ± 0.5 °C. It can therefore be described as slightly soluble.
