Administrative data
First-aid measures
Inhalation: Remove to fresh air. If breathing has stopped, apply
artificial respiration. If breathing is difficult, give
oxygen provided a qualified operator is available. Get
medical attention.
Eyes: Remove from contact. Get immediate medical attention if
dryness or irritation persists. For thermal burns seek
medical attention immediately.
Skin: Remove from contact. Apply first aid lotion if needed. For
thermal burns seek medical attention according to degree of
burn.
Ingestion: Get medical attention if needed.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: Use dry powder, carbon dioxide or foam. Do not use water.
Product arising from burning: Hydrolysis and decomposition products may include flammable
and harmful fumes and vapors.
Protective equipment: In the event of fire, wear self-contained breathing
apparatus.
Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage: Stop the flow of spilled material. Adequately ventilate the
spill area. Isolate the spill area and prevent unauthorized
entry. Contain any spilled material with an inert non-
combustible absorbent. Collect material and place in a
suitable chemical waste container. Prevent any spilled
liquid or runoff from entering drains, sewers, ditches and
waterways.
Handling and storage
Handling: Wear proper personal protective equipment when handling.
Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing. Do not breathe
vapor or swallow liquid. Wash hands thorougly after
handling.
Storage: Store the product in a cool, dry and well ventilated area.
Maintain argon or nitrogen blanket in container vapor space.
Avoid contact with moisture. Do not store in direct
sunlight. Keep containers upright and closed. Protect
containers from physical damage. Do not re-use drum.
