It consists predominantly of morpholine-based derivatives such as [(aminoethoxy)ethyl]morpholine, [(hydroxyethoxy)ethyl]morpholine, 3-morpholinone, and 4,4'-(oxydi-2,1-ethanediyl)bis[morpholine].

The substance is not readily biodegradable. However, as the logKoc and logKow of the mixture components is below 3 a low adsorption potential is indicated. Hence, an adsorption to activated sludge, suspended matter or sediment particles is unlikely and as a consequence a transfer to the sediment compartment is not expected. Therefore, no tests on sediment organisms are provided.
Moreover, long term toxicity tests on sediment organisms do not need to be conducted due to the fact that:
- direct exposure to soil/sediment is unlikely
- the chemical is not classified as hazardous to the environment according to Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008
- the substance does not have a potential to bioaccumulate nor is it considered as a PBT/vPvB substance.
