Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
3-amino-4-hydroxybenzenesulphonic acid showed 50% biodegradation in 720 h (30 days) in soil. Its half-life in soil, 30 days, does not exceed the EPA criteria of 60 days. Therefore, 3-amino-4-hydroxybenzenesulphonic acid is estimated not to be persistent in the environment, i.e., 3-amino-4-hydroxybenzenesulphonic acid is readily biodegradable in soil.
