Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

Experimental data on the target substance was not available, thus a read across approach was followed. Data on Similar Substance 01 was used in the assessment due to the high structural similarity between target and read across susbtances.

The two molecules have the same chemical structure, i.e. naphtyl-diazo-naphtyl sequence. In the target substance, one naphtyl ring is functionalised by a sulphonate group and the other one is functionalised by a hydroxy group and 2 sulphonate groups; in Similar Substance 01, one naphtyl ring is functionalised by a sulphonate group and the other one by a hydroxy group.

Moreover, a prevision performed with QSAR dyes RC 2.0 Developed by Milano Chemometrics and QASR research group Dept. Earth and Environmental Science, University Milano Bicocca, Italy, confirm the non-toxicity to fish for the dye.
