Executive summary:

After daily intake of 350 mg/kg (or more) Santowax OM (wich is a mixture of mainly ortho- and meta- terphenyl), used as a coolant, severe and to some extent irreversible chemical nephrosis and interstitial nephritis was found in rats following prolonged ingestion.
