The acute aquatic toxicity was estimated using the ECOSAR model v1.10 included in the EpiSuite models of US-EPA. In ECOSAR, substances for which the ecotoxicity is estimated are entitled to chemical classes according to their chemical structure. For each class the ecotox values for acute and chronic endpoints are estimated. Bis(2-butoxyethyl) adipate is classified under the class of the esters.
