The animals were placed in an environmentally conditioned room with temperature within 22-25ºC, a relative humidity within 50-65%, rrom air ventilation of approximately 15times/hour, and lighting for 12 hours (7:00 - 19:00)

The animals were daily observed to confirm whether or not they died, for 15 days after the administration, starting from the administration day.

Ten rats of each sex were divided in two groups of 5 animals and given Isobutyl Derivative at 2000 mg/kg or the vehicle, 0.5% methylcelullose solution by gavage.
Spraque-Dawley rats (Crj: CD; SPF) of both sexes, 4 weeks old. These animals were quanrantined and acclimatized for 7 days.
