The substance is practically insoluble and has a negligible vapour pressure. Hence, distribution into the compartments water and air are unlikely and in consequence abiotic degradation processes like hydrolyses and photodegradation are not relevant under environmental conditions.

Based on the molecular size, cellular uptake of the pigment is unlikely. Therefore bioaccumulation in biota is not expected. Furthermore intracellular biodegradation, which is the main degradation route of bacteria, is probably low. Hence the substance is likely to persist in the environment.
