Administrative data
First-aid measures
After inhalation: fresh air. Consult doctor if feeling unwell.
After skin contact: wash off with plenty of water. Remove contaminated clothing.
After eye contact: rinse out with plenty of water with the eyelid held wide open. Call in ophthalmologist if necessary.
After swallowing: immediately make victim drink water (two glasses at the most). Consult a physician.
Fire-fighting measures
Suitable extinguishing media: Water, Carbon dioxide (CO2), Foam, Dry powder
Specific hazards during fire fighting: Combustible material
Vapours are heavier than air and may spread along floors.
Forms explosive mixtures with air on intense heating.
Development of hazardous combustion gases or vapours possible in the event of fire.
Special protective equipment for fire-fighters: Do not stay in dangerous zone without self-contained breathing apparatus. In order to avoid contact with skin, keep a safety distance and wear suitable protective clothing.
Further information: Cool closed containers exposed to fire with water spray. Suppress (knock down) gases/vapours/mists with a water spray jet. Prevent fire extinguishing water from contaminating surface water or the ground water system.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions: Avoid substance contact. Do not breathe vapours, aerosols. Ensure adequate ventilation.
Environmental precautions: Do not empty into drains.
Methods for cleaning up:Take up with liquid-absorbent material. Forward for disposal. Clean up affected area.
Handling and storage
Advice on safe handling: Observe label precautions.
Storage: Further information on storage conditions: Tightly closed.
Store at +15°C to +25°C.
This substance is handled under Strictly Controlled Conditions in accordance with REACH regulation Article 17(3) for on-site isolated intermediates and, in case the substance is transported to other sites for further processing, the substance should be handled at these sites under the Strictly Controlled Conditions as specified in REACH regulation Article 18(4). Site documentation to support safe handling arrangements including the selection of engineering, administrative and personal protective equipment controls in accordance with risk-based management systems is available at each Manufacturing site.

Exposure controls / personal protection
Personal protective equipment:
Protective clothing should be selected specifically for the working place, depending on concentration and quantity of the hazardous substances handled. The resistance of the protective clothing to chemicals should be ascertained with the respective supplier.
Respiratory protection: required when vapours/aerosols are generated.
Recommended Filter type: filter ABEK
Hand protection
required
Eye protection: Safety glasses
Hygiene measures: Change contaminated clothing. Application of skin- protective barrier cream recommended. Wash hands after working with substance.
Stability and reactivity
Conditions to avoid: Strong heating. A range from approx. 15 Kelvin below the flash point is to be rated as critical.
Materials to avoid: Violent reactions possible with:
Strong oxidizing agents
Hazardous decomposition products: no information available
Further information: Forms explosive mixtures with air on intense heating.
Disposal considerations
Product: Chemicals must be disposed of in compliance with the respective national regulations.
Packaging: Product packaging must be disposed of in compliance with the country-specific regulations or must be passed to a packaging return system.
