Additional information

The ready biodegradability of 2-ethyl-4-methylimidazole (CAS 931-36-2) was studied in a GLP guideline study according to OECD 301A (DOC Die-Away test). Activated sludge from a laboratory wwtp treating municipal sewage was taken as inoculum. The degradation reached 86% after 28 d, the 10-d window was kept (BASF AG, 2005; report no. 21G0379/053109). therefore the substance is regarded as readily biodegradable according to OECD criteria.
