Mandarin oil is a Natural Complex Substance (NCS), typically consisting for 70% of d-limonene (range 64 - 89%) and a range of minor constituents. All but one of the known constituents, comprising typically 96% of the composition of this NCS, are in the category of readily biodegradable substances, whereas the remaining constituent (1%) is expected to be biodegradable.
