Description of key information

No boiling point can be determined prior to decomposition starting at approx. 190 °C

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The determination of the boiling point was performed according to EU Method A.2 and OECD Guideline 103 by applying the differential scanning calorimetry. Because the strongly alkaline melted sample reacts with the crucible material, it is not possible to take this measurement. Furthermore, the thermogravimetric curve indicates decomposition of the hydrate starting at approx. 190 °C, therefore no boiling point of the cesium hydroxide monohydrate can be determined. No boiling point can be determined prior to decomposition starting at approx. 190 °C
