MBTester is immobile as it adsorbs to organic substrate (Koc = 3510 L/kg, log Koc = 3.55). It is inherently biodegradable and is not expected to hydrolyse due to an OECD TG 111 study. Despite the fact that MBTester does not expose the environment directly or indirectly, the potential for bioaccumulation is assessed using the EPI Suite program (US-EPA, BCFBAF v3.01) resulting in a BCF of 305 L/kg wet weight (data not shown). The substance is therefore not considered to bioaccumulate.
