Study design

Study type:
laboratory study
Remarks:
Mortality: 7 days; fertility test: 14 days
Post exposure observation period:
After application when spray deposits had dried the test units were assembled. Ten protonymphs were placed with a fine bristled brush into each replicate units.Mortality was assessed after 3 and 7 days. Reproduction assessment were carried out 10, 12 and 14 days after treatment.

Test conditions

Test temperature:
25+/-2°C (Actual: 23.5 – 27.5°C). The temperature of 27.5°C occurred for 1 hour on two separate days.
Humidity:
75 +/-15% (Actual: 60 – 76 %)
Photoperiod and lighting:
16 h light/ 8 h darkness

Results and discussion

Effect concentrations
Duration:
7 d
Dose descriptor:
LR50
Effect conc.:
386.8 g/ha
Remarks on result:
other: 325.4-453.1 g/ha
Details on results:
the substance caused no significant effects on mortality up to and including an application rate of 126.8 g/ha.
The reproduction was no statistically significantly reduced up to and including an application rate of 318.2 g/ha. The ER50 could not be calculated because none of rates caused reduction on reproduction above 24.7%.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

yes
Conclusions:
The 7-day LR502 was calculated to be 386.8 g/ha.
The ER50 could not be calculated because none of rates caused reduction on reproduction above 24.7%.
