EC number: 911-819-6
CAS number: -
A 96 hour acute semi-static toxicity study in zebra fish (Danio rerio) was performed to assess the toxicity of Polyol PX. The study was performed according to GLP and the OECD 203 Test Guideline. The 96 hour LC50 was calculated to be >100 mg/L (based on nominal exposure concentrations), and the corresponding NOEC was 100 mg/L (Muckle M., 2022).
A static 48 hour test was performed exposing Daphnia magna to a range of concentrations (4 - 100 mg/L) of Polyol PX. The study was performed in accordance with the OECD guideline 202 and according to GLP. The 48 hour EC50 was calculated to be > 100 mg/L (based on nominal concentrations), the corresponding no-observed effect concentration was observed to be 100 mg/L (Muckle M., 2022).
A 72 hour algal growth inhibition study, test species Desmodesmus subspicatus, was performed to determine the toxic effects of the test substance Polyol PX. The test was conducted according to OECD test guideline 201, and performed to GLP. Based on nominal exposure concentrations the 72 hour ErC50 was calculated to be > 100 mg/L and the corresponding no-observed effect concentration (NOEC) was 100 mg/L. The 72 hour EyC50 was calculated to be > 100 mg/L and the corresponding NOEC was 100 mg/L (Muckle M., 2022).
The toxicity of Polyol PX to activated sewage sludge was investigated in a respiration inhibition test according to OECD test guideline 209. Following three hours exposure to Polyol PX the EC50 was observed to be > 1000 mg/L (based on nominal exposure concentrations), the corresponding NOEC was observed to 1000 mg/L.
