Description of key information

Seven individual high quality EC10 and NOEC values for the reproduction of the terrestrial arthropod Folsomia candida are selected for the effects assessment of V in soil. Toxicity data derived in freshly spiked soils (4 observations) vary between 3.0 and 96 mg added V/kg dw. Vanadium toxicity to terrestrial arthropods was generally lower in soils where V has been equilibrated for more than 5 months, with EC10 values (3 observations) varying between 71 and 492 mg V/kg soil. All data are based on measured added V concentrations in soil.
