Dreist and Kolb (1993) studied skin sensitisation in female Bor:DHPW guinea pigs according to OECD Guideline 406 (guinea pig maximisation test). This study was reliable and is selected as key study. No other data on skin sensitisation were available.
The results of the study demonstrate that biphenyl is not a skin sensitiser.
