Additional information

Data on the short-term toxicity of ethylparaben to aquatic invertebrates are presented in the dossier “Environmental and Health Assessment of Substances in Household Detergents and Cosmetic Detergent Products” by the Danish Ministry of Environment and Energy (Madsen et al., 2001). Herein, results from a study according to ISO 634115 are cited. Daphnia magna were exposed to nominal concentrations of 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 50 and 100 mg/L. The EC50 was determined to be > 10 mg/L to < 20 mg/L. The NOEC was determined to be 10 mg/L.
