Description of key information

In water, ammonium perchlorate immediately dissociates into perchlorate ion ClO4- and ammonium NH4+ (ATSDR).
The dissociation constants for perchloric acid HClO4, which is not the subject of the present dossier (on ammonium perchlorate), are -7 (pKa) and 21 (pKb) at 25°C in water, confirming that perchlorate ion is the stable form in water (SK Lower).
