The aim of the Technical Media Briefing is to brief journalists on ECHA's activities and priorities in 2013 in light of the Agency's four strategic aims: maximising the availability of high quality data; mobilising authorities to use data intelligently; addressing scientific challenges; and embracing current and new legislative tasks efficiently and effectively. Joint campaign with European trade unions on employers' obligations under REACH
This campaign calls on worker representatives to act as ambassadors for REACH in their companies to ensure timely registration for the REACH 2013 deadline. It also raises awareness about the new elements in the safety data sheets that aim to enhance the protection of workers.
Joint campaign on 2010 REACH and CLP deadlines
Media material on European trade unions' campaign, calling workers representatives to act as ambassadors for REACH and CLP. The campaign has been launched by the European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC) and the European Chemical Workers Federation (EMCEF), with the support of ECHA and EU-OSHA.
Trade unions are convinced in the importance of the new chemical laws and calling on their member organisations to alert employers to their responsibilities to register and notify ECHA in time. Press materials include a press release, background interviews with ETUC and national trade unions, and the leaflet for the campaign.
