Description of key information
Three independent short-term toxicity tests were conducted with diethyl malonate on pimephales promelas.
The LC50, 96 h values determined by the studies were in the range of 11.8 - 17.4 mg/L.
Thus the LC50 for fish for diethylmalonate can be stated as >= 11.8 mg/L.
Key value for chemical safety assessment
Fresh water fish
Fresh water fish
- Effect concentration:
- 11.8 mg/L
