Determination of the melting point was performed in accordance with the Standard Operating
Procedure SPO/BS/25/b (edition 5). The melting point determination was performed according to EC method A.1 “Melting/freezing temperature”, which is in conformity with the
OECD Guideline for Testing of Chemicals no. 102 “Melting point/melting range”.
The capillary tube in heated metal block method and BÜCHI Melting Point B-565 apparatus
was used. For melting point determination a substance sample was pulverized, finely ground,
placed in a capillary tube and packed tightly. The measurements were performed in three
parallel tubes. Observations of the tested material properties changes were recorded in the
temperature range investigated.
