Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets
Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data
First-aid measures
Eye contact - Immediately irrigate with eyewash solution or clean water, holding the eyelids apart, for at least 15 minutes. Obtain medical attention.
Skin contact - Take off immediately all contaminated clothing. Wash skin immediately with water, followed by soap and water. Obtain immediate medical attention. Contaminated clothing should be laundered before re-issue.
Inhalation - Remove patient from exposure, keep warm and at rest. Obtain immediate medical attention.
Ingestion - Provided the patient is conscious, wash out mouth with water and give 200-300 ml (half a pint) of water to drink. Do not induce vomiting. Obtain immediate medical attention.
Symptomatic treatment and supportive therapy as indicated.
Fire-fighting measures
Special hazards - Not classified as flammable.
As with many organic dusts, explosions may occur if dispersed as a dust cloud and ignited.
Take precautionary measures against static discharges.
If involved in a fire, it may emit noxious and toxic fumes.
Protective equipment - A self-contained breathing apparatus and suitable protective clothing should be worn in fire conditions.
Extinguishing agents - Water spray, foam, dry powder or CO2. Water spray should be used to cool containers.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions - Ensure suitable personal protection during removal of spillages.
Environmental precautions - Do not allow to enter drains, sewers or watercourses.
Methods for clean-up - Do not breathe dust. Do not scatter the dry material. Clear up spillages. Transfer to a container for disposal. Wash the spillage area clean. Washings must be prevented from entering surface water drains.
Handling and storage
Advice on protection against fire and explosion - Keep away from heat and sources of ignition.
Safe handling advice - Control dust formation. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Avoid inhalation of dust/aerosol.
Requirement for storage rooms - Keep container tightly closed. Storage Temperature: below minus 10 °C

Exposure controls / personal protection
1. Technical protection measures - Where suitable engineering controls are not fitted or are inadequate, wear suitable protective equipment.
2. Hand protection - wear suitable gloves, wash hands after use
3. Body protection - wear suitable protective clothing
4. Eye protection - wear eye/face protection
5. Respiratory protection - wear suitable respiratory protective equipment
Stability and reactivity
Hazardous reactions (conditions to avoid) - none known
Hazardous reactions (materials to avoid) - none known
Hazardous decomposition products - may emit noxious/toxic fumes on combustion
Disposal considerations
Dispose in acordance with local, state or national regulations.
Do not dipose to drain.
