Administrative data
First-aid measures
After inhalation, supply fresh air; in case of complaints consult physician.
After skin contact, wash with water and soap.
After eye contact, rinse open eye for several minutes under running water. If symptoms persist, consult physician.
After swallowing, rinse mouth with water. Drink 3-4 glasses of milk or water. Never gove anything by mouth to an unconscious person.
In case of unintentional swallowing of bigger qunatities or if any symptoms occur seek medical advice.
Fire-fighting measures
Use fir fighting measures that suit the environment.
Protective equipment: Wear self-contained respiratory protective device.
Additional information: Dispose of fire debris and comtaminated fire fighting water in accordance with official regulations.
Accidental release measures
- Ensure adequate ventilation
- Avoid formation of dust
- wear protective clothing
- keep unprotected persons away
Measures of cleaning/collecting:
- Pick up mechanically
- avoid dust formation
Handling and storage
- avoid formation of dust
- any depsoit of dust, which cannot be avoided, must be regularly removed
- ensure good ventilation/exhaustion at workplace
- avoid inhalation of dust
- avoid contact with eyes and skin
- avoid inhaltion of vapours formed by heated product
Keep ingnition sources away - Do not smoke.
Protect against electrostatic charges.
Store in a dry place.
Store away from foodstuff and feed.
Storage class: 11 (combustible solids)

Exposure controls / personal protection
Do not eat or drink while working.
Keep away from foodstuffs, beverages and feed.
Wash hands before breaks and at the end of work.
Do not inhale dust/smoke/mist.
Avoid contact with skin and eyes.
Vaccum clean contaminated clothing. Do not blow or brush off contamination.
Use skin protection cream.
Breathing equipment: In case of unintentional release of substance, use short term filter device (Filter P2).
If hydrogen chloride is released, use Filter BE P.
Protection of hands: Chemical resistant gloves
The glove material has to be impermeable and resistant to the substance.
When handling the heated product, use heat-resistant gloves.
After use of gloves apply skin-cleaning agents and skin cosmetics.
For undissolved substance the following materials are suitable:
- nitrile rubber, NBR
- butyl rubber, BR
- polychloroprenen rubber, CR
- fluorcarbon rubber, FKM
Eye protection: Use safety glasses or googles.
Stability and reactivity
No decomposition if used and stored according to specifications.
Avoid thermal decomposition. Do not overheat.
No dangerous reactions known.
In the case of fire or at high temperatures the formation of the follwoing decomposition products is possible:
- carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide
- Hydrogen chloride
- nitrogen oxides
Upon contact with water or humidity foolowing substances are formed:
sodium perchlorate
Disposal considerations
Must not be disposed of together with household garbage.
European waste catalogue: 07 01 99 (wastes not otherwise specified)
Uncleaned packagings: Disposal must be made according to official regulations.
