Toxicity was evaluated based on reduction of O2 consumption. The reference substance 3, 5 -dichlorophenol was tested in parallel.
The 3 h IC50 for the test substance was found to be 90 mg/L (nominal). The 3 h IC50 for the reference substance was found to be 18 mg/L.

Description of key information
The study selected as key study was conducted to determine the toxicity of the test substance (at ca. 80.5 % purity) to activated sludge after an exposure of 3 h at concentration 10, 32 and 100 mg/L. Toxicity was evaluated based on reduction of O2 consumption. The reference substance 3, 5 -dichlorophenol was tested in parallel.
The 3 h IC50 for the test substance was equivalent to 90 mg/L (nominal). The 3 h IC50 for the reference substance was 18 mg/L.
