Description of key information

Key value determined in GLP accredited laboratory study in accordance with OECD Guideline 216.  

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Short-term EC50 for soil microorganisms:
2 500 mg/kg soil dw

Additional information

The EC50 value for inhibition of nitrate formation after 28 days was greater than 2500 mg Naugard 445/kg dry soil, the highest concentration tested. Naugard 445 did not have an adverse effect on nitrogen transformation in soil.
