Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

No boiling temperature of 4-(1-methyl-1-phenylethyl)-N-[4-(1-methyl-1-phenylethyl)phenyl]aniline could be determined under 400°C using DSC.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Boiling point at 101 325 Pa:
400 °C

Additional information

An endothermic peak between 75°C and 125°C was observed. The effect was most likely obtained due to melting of the test substance. After the experiment, a yellowish molten residue remained in the sample container. No endothermic effect which could be attributed to boiling was observed under 400°C. The slightly positive slope and the change in colour of the test substance during the test is an indication of possible decomposition at higher temperatures.
