Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Specific details on test material used for the study:
SOURCE OF TEST MATERIAL
- Source and lot/batch number of test material: PFW100207
- Purity: contains 0.03% water
- Physical state: Liquid

STABILITY AND STORAGE CONDITIONS OF TEST MATERIAL
- Storage condition of test material: in cool, well-ventilated area

Key result
Auto-ignition temperature:
227 °C
Atm. press.:
100.9 kPa
Remarks on result:
other: The auto-ignition temperature measured (227°C) was corrected for barometric pressure to 227.1°C.

No cool flames were observed. Ignition produced an orange flame.

Time lag at the auto-ignition temperature was 6 seconds.

Sample quantity at lowest auto-ignition temperature: 150 µL

Conclusions:
The auto-ignition temperature of the substance was determined to be 227°C at atmospheric pressure.

Description of key information

The auto-ignition temperature of the test substance was determined in a GLP-compliant study according to the test method EC A.15 to be 227°C at 100.9 kPa (Younis S, 2012).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Autoflammability / Self-ignition temperature at 101 325 Pa:
227 °C

Additional information

When correcting to standard atmospheric pressure, the rounded value of the test result remains identical (227°C).
