21 January to 1 February 2013
Reliability:
1 (reliable without restriction)
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
EU Method A.2 (Boiling Temperature)
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
OECD Guideline 103 (Boiling point/boiling range)
GLP compliance:
yes (incl. QA statement)

Remarks on result:
other: The results of duplicate boiling point determinations were 22.7 and 222.0 °C

The results for the two determinations were in good agreement (the estimated method accuracy is approximately ± 2˚C).

Reported values are corrected to standard pressure.

Conclusions:
The boiling temperature of DMI was determined to be 222°C

Description of key information

The boiling temperature of DMI was determined to be 222°C

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Boiling point at 101 325 Pa:
222 °C

Additional information

A boiling point determination was performed as part of a package of physicochemical testing (Huntingdon Life Sciences, 2013, study LBM0053). The boiling point was determined according to OECD Method 103 and EC Method A2, and the study was conducted in compliance with GLP.
