Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
After contact with skin: After contact with skin, wash immediately with polyethylene glycol, followed by plenty of water. Take off immediately all contaminated clothing and wash it before reuse. If skin irritation occurs: Get medical advice/attention.
After contact with eyes: After contact with the eyes, rinse with water with the eyelids open for a sufficient length of time , then consult an ophthalmologist immediately.
After ingestion: Rinse mouth immediately and drink plenty of water.
Fire-fighting measures
Suitable extinguishing media: alcohol resistant foam, extinguishing powder, carbon dioxide (CO2).
Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture: Can be released in case of fire: Carbon monoxide. Carbon dioxide (CO2).
Advice for firefighters: Wear a self-contained breathing apparatus and chemical protective clothing. Full protection suit
Additional information: Suppress gases/vapours/mists with water spray jet. Collect contaminated fire extinguishing water separately. Do not allow entering drains or surface water.
Accidental release measures
Environmental precautions: Do not allow to enter into surface water or drains.
Methods and material for containment and cleaning up: Take up mechanically. Treat the recovered material as prescribed in the section on waste disposal . Absorb with liquid-binding material (e.g. sand, diatomaceous earth, acid- or universal binding agents).
Handling and storage
Advice on safe handling: If handled uncovered, arrangements with local exhaust ventilation have to be used. Avoid generation of dust. Do not breathe dust. Do not breathe gas/fumes/vapour/spray. Avoid contact with skin and eyes.
Advice on protection against fire and explosion: Provide earthing of containers, equipment, pumps and ventilation facilities.
Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities:
Requirements for storage rooms and vessels: Keep container tightly closed.
Advice on storage compatibility: No special measures are necessary.
