- Conclusions:
- Lithium isooctadecanoate was determined to decompose from approximately 185°C (458 K). The test item and/or decomposition products then melted over a range of approximately 193 to 205°C (466 to 478 K), with ongoing decomposition being evident as heating of the test item continued.
- Executive summary:
The melting point of lithium isooctadecanoate was determined in a GLP-compliant, differential scanning calorimetry (thermal analysis) and capillary method (visual evaluation) test, following OECD guideline 102 (Envigo 2017). The study is considered relevant and reliable for use for this endpoint.
