First-aid measures
If risk of exposure to dust or fumes exists:
Inhalation : If inhaled, remove to fresh air. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. If not breathing, give
artificial respiration. Obtain medical attention.
Ingestion : Do NOT induce vomiting unless directed to do so by medical personnel. Never give anything
by mouth to an unconscious person. If large quantities of this material are swallowed, call a.
physician immediately
Skin contact : Substance is not a skin irritant and not a skin sensitizer. Use general hygiene measure for contact with the material: wash with soap and warm water.
In case of contact with molten product, immediately flush skin with plenty of water. Remove contaminated clothing and shoes. Get medical immediate attention.
Eye contact: Substance is not eye irritant. Use general measures if eye irritations occur In case of contact, immediately flush eyes with a copious amount of water for at least 15 Minutes. Obtain medical attention.
Fire-fighting measures
Material is non-flammable. Use fire fighting measures appropriate to surrounding materials.
Extinguishing media: Do not use water or halogenated extinguishing media.
Special exposure: No
Special protective equipment for fire-fighters: Self-contained breathing apparatus and full protective clothing must be worn in case of fire.
Accidental release measures
In cases of accident, procedural and/or control technologies must be used to minimise emissions and the resulting exposure during purification or cleaning and maintenance procedures
Personal precautions: Immediately contact emergency personnel. Keep unnecessary personnel away. Use suitable protective equipment
Environmental precautions: Avoid dispersal of spilled material and runoff and contact with soil, waterways, drains and sewers.
Methods for cleaning up: If emergency personnel are unavailable vacuum or carefully scoop up spilled materials and place in an appropriate container for disposal. Avoid creating dusty conditions and prevent wind dispersal
Handling and storage
Handling:
Only properly trained and authorised personnel must handle the substance
Substance-handling procedures must be well documented and strictly supervised by the site operator
Provide adequate ventilation. Use appropriate tools. Welding, burning, sawing, brazing, grinding or machining operations may generate fumes and dusts.
Avoid contact with molten material. Do not use water on molten metal.
Avoid contact with sharp edges and hot surfaces.
Avoid generation and spreading of dust. Avoid inhalation of dust and small particles and contact with skin and eyes. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment. Observe good industrial hygiene practices.
Storage Massive material: Store away from incompatible materials. Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place, avoiding contact with heat and acids.

Exposure controls / personal protection
The substance must be rigorously contained by technical means during its whole lifecycle including manufacture, purification, cleaning and maintenance of equipment, sampling, analysis, loading and unloading of equipment or vessels, waste disposal or purification and storage
Procedural and control technologies must be used that minimise emission and any resulting exposure
Only properly trained and authorised personnel must handle the substance
In the case of cleaning and maintenance works, special procedures such as purging and washing must be applied before the system is opened and entered
Risk reduction measures aiming at protection of human health focus on use process enclosures, local exhaust ventilation, or other engineering controls to keep air borne levels for containing metals below recommended exposure limits. If user operations generate dust fume or mist, use ventilation to keep exposure to airborne contaminants below the exposure limit.
Environmental risk reduction measures focus on removal of metal trace constituents from air emissions through fume/dust collection where relevant (mainly for hot processes) and on removal of metal trace constituents in direct cooling water and effluent through physico-chemical techniques.
Occupational exposure controls: Respiratory protection In case of risk of inhalation of dust, use suitable respiratory equipment with particle filter (type P2). Seek advice from local supervisor.
Hand protection: Wear suitable protective gloves to prevent. When material is heated, wear gloves to protect against thermal burns. Suitable gloves can be recommended by the glove supplier.
Eye protection: Wear dust-resistant safety goggles where there is danger of eye contact. In addition to safety glasses or goggles.
Skin and body protection: Wear suitable protective clothing
Environmental exposure controls: Contain spills and prevent releases and observe national regulations on emissions.
Hygiene measures Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practices. Wash hands after handling. Work area, equipment and floors regularly cleaned
Eating, drinking and smoking should be prohibited in area where this material is handled, Routinely wash work clothing and protective equipment to remove contaminants. Observe any medical surveillance requirements.
Competence and Training: Activity should only be executed by specialists or authorized personnel. Regular training and Instruction of workers. Procedures for process control to minimize release/exposure
Monitoring: Regular inspection/maintenance of furnaces and ducts to ensure air tightness and prevent fugitive releases. Establish monitoring system to detect leaks and failures in cleaning equipment. Establish monitoring system for exposure at the work place - personal air samplers or fixed measurements. Establish appropriate health surveillance program

Stability and reactivity
Stability: Massive metal is stable and non reactive under normal conditions of use, storage and transport
Hazardous decomposition products: Melting, sawing, grinding or machining operations may generate dusts and/or fumes of metal oxides.
Disposal considerations
Where waste is generated, procedural and/or control technologies must be used to minimise emissions and the resulting exposure during purification or cleaning and maintenance procedures
The generation of waste should be avoided or minimised wherever possible. Avoid dispersal of spilled material and runoff and contact with soil, waterways, drains and sewers.
Disposal should at all times comply with the requirements of environmental protection and waste disposal legislation and any regional local authority requirements. This product is recyclable.
