Presentation of Results

Results of the single determinations with the respective error as well as the mean value and its standard deviation are presented in the following tables:

Results of Single Determinations

Determination  Density in g/cm³  Error of Determ. in g/cm³
 1  1.0440  0.0001
 2  1.0442  0.0001

Results - Mean Values

 Parameter  Value  Unit  Standard Deviation
Volume of Pycnometer  49.95  cm³  0.0001
 Density of Test Item  1.0441  g/cm³  0.0001
 Density of Test Item  0.0010441  kg/m³  0.0000001
Relative Density of Test Item  1.0441    0.0001
Conclusions:
The density of the test item Dibenzyltoluene was calculated as 1.0441 ± 0.0001 g/cm³ at 20 ± 0.5 °C, which is the mean of two values. Precision of the value is given as maximal error of determination.
The standard deviation of the two values is the same as the maximal error, indicating that correspondence and precision are very good. Therefore, the study is considered valid.
Executive summary:

Using the pycnometer method, a density of 1.0441 ± 0.0001 g/cm³ was measured. This value is the mean of two independent determinations with the error of determination.

Standard deviation was 0.0001 g/cm³, showing very good correlation ot the two determinations.
