Description of key information
The pour point of DIDS has been determined to be -55 °C, in a reliable study performed according to ASTM D97 standard method (INEOS Enterprises, 2013c).

Using ASTM D97 standard method, the maximum pour point of DIDS was determined to be -55 °C (INEOS Enterprises, 2013c).
Relevant read-across data:
In a study using the same method, a pour point of -63 °C was determined for the structurally-related compound, DIDA (INEOS Enterprises, 2009b). Another guideline study on DIDA, performed to GLP, used a differential scanning calorimetry method to calculate a melting point of less than -20 °C at an air pressure of 1018 hPa (Baltussen, 2010).
A variety of sources report melting points of less than about -50 °C for DEHS and DOS (ACC, 2010; INEOS Enterprises, 2009b, c; JETOC, 1992; Sax, 2004).
DIDA, DEHS and DOS are, like DIDS, all liquids at standard room temperature and pressure, supporting the use of these compounds for read-across purposes.
