Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

The test substance was not completely soluble in test medium at the loading rates initially prepared. Therefore, the test substance – Milli-RO water mixtures were magnetically stirred for a period of approximately 25 hours. Subsequently, synthetic medium, sludge and Milli-RO water were added resulting in the required loading rates. Optimal contact between the test substance and test medium was ensured applying continuous aeration and stirring during the 3-hour exposure period.

4-(1-methyl-1-phenylethyl)-N-[4-(1-methyl-1-phenylethyl)phenyl]aniline was not toxic to waste water (activated sludge) bacteria at or below a loading rate of 1000 mg/l (NOEC).

The EC50 exceeded a loading rate of 1000 mg/l.
