Partition coefficient (log P) of DUSANTOX 86 (4-(1-methyl-1-phenylethyl)-N-[4-(1-methyl-1-phenylethyl)phenyl]aniline is:
log P = 7.90 ± 1.22 (25°C, pH = 6.9)
It is noted that the range for the experiment is outside of the general range specified within the OECD Guideline. However this range can be expanded by the use of appropriate additional reference substances, and this is the current practice by a number of test houses. The results detailed above are presumed therefore to have been calculated utilising such expanded reference substance ranges.
