Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

A study was conducted to determine the short term toxicity of the substance to the green alga Selenastrum capricornutum according to OECD Guideline 201. The algal culture was exposed to nominal test substance concentrations of 0, 4, 8, 16, 32, 63, 125, 250 and 500 µg/L under static conditions. Six replicates of control and three replicates of the test substance vessels were maintained. Algal cell number and growth rate was measured at 24, 48 and 72 h intervals and the physical and chemical analysis of the test solutions, including measurement of the test substance concentration were performed at the start and at the end of the test. Under the study conditions, the measured ErC50 and NOErC of the substance in green algae were determined to be 150 and 55 μg/L (equivalent to 110 and 40.3 µg a.i./L) respectively (Smyth, 1994).
