First-aid measures

Inhalation: Remove from exposure to fresh air immediately. Get medical attention.

Skin: Flush skin with plenty of soap and water for at least 15 minutes while removing contaminated clothing and shoes. Get medical attention.

Eye: Immediately flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes, occasionally lifting the upper and lower eyelids. Get medical attention.

Ingestion: Do not induce vomiting. If conscious and alert, rinse mouth. Get medical attention.

Fire-fighting measures

Specific hazards: During a fire, irritating and highly toxic gases may be generated by thermal decomposition or combustion.

Extinguishing media: Dry chemical, water spray, or carbon dioxide

Protective equipment: As in any fire, wear a self-contained breathing apparatus in pressure-demand, and full protective gear.

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions: Avoid heat, flames, sparks and other sources of ignition. Remove sources of ignition. Keep unnecessary people away, isolate hazard area and deny entry. Stay upwind and keep out of low areas, and use proper personal protective equipment.

Environmental precautions: Prevent the material from spreading into the environment.

Methods for cleaning up: Stop leak if possible without personal risk. Collect spilled material in appropriate container for disposal.

Handling and storage

Handling

Handle in well-ventilated area and away from heat and ignition sources. Use spark-proof tools and explosion proof equipment. All equipment should be grounded to prevent accumulation of static discharge. After handling wash thoroughly hands, face, and eyes. Remove contaminated clothing and wash before reuse. Avoid contact with eyes, skin, and clothing. Avoid ingestion and inhalation.

Storage

Keep containers tightly closed. Keep away from heat and ignition sources. Store in a cool and dry place. Avoid storing together with oxidizers.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Exposure limit values: Not established (ACGIH)

Exposure controls

Engineering controls: Mechanical and local exhaust required for sufficient ventilation. Enclosed process desired.

Occupational exposure controls:

Respiratory protection: Any self-contained breathing apparatus with a full facepiece and organic vapor cartridge(s).

Hand protection: Wear appropriate chemical resistant gloves.

Eye protection: Wear splash resistant safety goggles.

Skin protection: Wear appropriate chemical resistant clothing.

Stability and reactivity

Stability: Stable under normal temperatures and pressures.

Conditions to avoid: Avoid heat, flames, sparks and other sources of ignition.

Materials to avoid: Strong oxidizing agents, strong acids, strong bases and reducing agents.

Hazardous decomposition products: Carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide.

Disposal considerations

Comply with all EU, national and local regulations.

Do not dump this material into sewers, on the ground or into any body of water.
