Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets
Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data
First-aid measures
Inhalation: Remove to fresh air. Prevent cooling of the person. Keep victim at rest in half-upright position. If not
breathing, give artificial respiration. Do not apply mouth-to-mouth resuscitation. Get medical
attention immediately.
Ingestion: If swallowed, rinse mouth with water (only if the person is conscious). Do not induce vomiting. If
affected person is conscious, give plenty of water to drink. Seek immediate medical attention.
Skin contact: Take off immediately all contaminated clothing. Do not pull clothing loose from skin. Rinse with
plenty of running water. Dab with polyethylene glycol 400. Get medical attention immediately.
Eye contact: Immediately flush eyes with running water for at least 15 minutes, keeping eyelids open. Get medical
attention immediately.
Fire-fighting measures
Extinguishing media
*Small fire Suitable: Use dry chemical powder.
*Large fire Suitable: Use dry chemical powder. Alcohol-resistant foam
Unusual fire/explosion hazards: Fine dust clouds may form explosive mixtures with air.
Hazardous thermal decomposition products: In case of fire, may produce hazardous decomposition products such as carbon monoxide, carbon
dioxide, nitrogen oxides (NO, NO2 etc.), ammonia (NH3), amines.
Special fire-fighting procedures: Fight fire from protected location or maximum possible distance. Keep the area surrounding the fire
cool. Fire water contaminated with this material must be contained and prevented from being discharged to any waterway, sewer or drain.
Protection of fire-fighters: Wear suitable protective clothing. Self-contained breathing apparatus.
Accidental release measures
Personel protection: Avoid creating dusty conditions and prevent wind dispersal. Avoid contact with eyes, skin and clothing. Self-contained breathing apparatus. Use suitable protective equipment (section 8). Consult expert immediately. Keep away from sources of ignition. Take precautionary measures against static discharges. Use explosion-proof electrical (ventilating, lighting and material handling) equipment.
Environmental precautions: Prevent entry into sewers, basements or confined areas. Dyke if necessary.
Clean-up Methods:
*Small spill and leak: Vacuum or sweep up material and place in a designated, labelled waste container. Clean up affected area with a large amount of water.
* Large spill and leak: Prevent entry into sewers, basements or confined areas. Dyke if necessary. Vacuum or sweep up material and place in a designated, labelled waste container. Recycle, if possible. Absorb with an inert material and place in an appropriate waste disposal container. Prevent formation of dust clouds. Use explosion-proof electrical (ventilating, lighting and material handling) equipment. Keep away from sources of ignition. Neutralise the residue with a dilute solution of acetic acid.
Handling and storage
Handeling: Use in closed systems. Avoid contact with eyes, skin and clothing. Avoid creating dusty conditions
and prevent wind dispersal. Use explosion-proof electrical (ventilating, lighting and material
handling) equipment. Take measures against static discharge. Keep away from sources of ignition.
Storage: Store in a fireproof location. Keep away from incompatibles such as flammable substances,
oxidizing substances and toxic substances. Keep away from incompatible materials and avoid
specific conditions
