Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets
Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data
First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove to fresh air. If respiratory symptoms appear, seek
medical attention.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Wash with water for 15 minutes, including under eyelids. If
irritation is apparent, seek medical attention.
Emergency measure - Skin: Wash skin thoroughly with soap and water. In case of skin
contact with hot polymer, cool under water but do not
attempt removal from the skin: seek medical attention.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Seek medical attention. Do not induce vomiting.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: Carbon dioxide, dry chemical, foam, watermist.
Product arising from burning: Oxides of carbon; also some soot.
Product determined by test: N
Protective equipment: Full protection by suitable clothing and positive pressure
breathing apparatus.
Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage: Wear suitable protective clothing. Damp down any dry
material, collect and transfer to suitable containers for
disposal by incineration or landfill. Wash down contaminated
areas with plenty of water, using containment to avoid
washings reaching drains or surface waters.
Handling and storage
Handling: Protective clothing, goggles or safety glasses and gloves
should be worn when working with the material. When using
the commercial preparation in solvent, use solvent-resistant
gloves and work only in well-ventilated areas.
Storage: Store at ambient temperature (< 30 degrees C) away from
sunlight. Commercial preparation in solvent should be stored
only in well-ventilated areas away from oxidising agents or
ignition sources.
Packaging of the substance and or preparation: Sealed, unbreakable containers.

Special provisions / remarks
- Remarks:
- Transport code: the polymer itself is not hazardous for transport.
Transport: The substance should be transported in sealed, unbreakable
containers secured against falling or other shock.

Exposure controls / personal protection
Stability and reactivity
Danger other than fire: None known.
Chemical reaction with water: None known.
Dust explosion: None expected. Immediate dissolution of manufactured polymer
in solvent at the last stage of manufacture prevents dust
release.
Dust explosion determined by test: N
Disposal considerations
Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: None known.
Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: Not applicable.
Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Disposal in authorised landfill sites is possible for the
polymer alone (without solvent) or cured polymeric coatings.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Preferred method.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Not recommended.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - other: None known.
Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Not applicable: no sale to the public is planned.
Public at large - Possibility of neutralisation: Not applicable: no sale to the public is planned.
Public at large - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Not applicable: no sale to the public is planned.
Public at large - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Not applicable: no sale to the public is planned.
Public at large - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Not applicable: no sale to the public is planned.
Public at large - Possibility of destruction - others: Not applicable: no sale to the public is planned.
