Administrative data
First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove patient to fresh air. In case of difficult breathing
use oxygen inhaler and seek medical attention.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Wash eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. Seek
medical attention if necessary.
Emergency measure - Skin: Wash with plenty of soap and water. Remove all contaminated
clothing.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Rinse mouth with water. Do not induce vomiting. Seek medical
attention.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: Water, carbon dioxide, dried sand
Product arising from burning: Oxides of carbon and chloride
Product determined by test: N
Protective equipment: Respiratory protective equipment and full protective
clothing should be worn.
Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage: Ventilate the room and prohibit personnel entering into the
room.
Wipe off the spilled material and send for incineration.
Wash the exposed floor with water.
Personnel should wear protective equipment.
Handling and storage
Handling: General good industrial practice for handling powder should
be observed.
Room has to be equipped with ventilation, shower and basins
for hand and eyes washing.
Local exhaust ventilation will be in operation. Operators
will wear appropriate personal protective equipment
[industrial overalls, rubber gloves and full breathing
apparatus EN270].
Care should be taken not to inhale, and protect eyes or skin
from the material. Wash hands carefully after handling.
Storage: The substance is stored in 60 to 80 litres capacity drums
with plastic liner under normal conditions.
Store in a closed container in a cool, dry area.
Packaging of the substance and or preparation: 60 to 80 litres capacity fibre drum with plastic liner

Disposal considerations
Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: The substance will be consumed during normal usage.
Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: Not specified.
Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Spillages should not be washed to waste water treatment
plant or waterways. Solid material should be shovelled up
and transferred to drums which can be sealed.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Material should be disposed of by high temperature
incineration in a licensed facility. Local requirement on
waste disposal must be complied with.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Recommended for small quantities.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - other: Not specified.
