Details on results:
In the chromatogram of the test material solution, several peaks with a retention time between 23.3 and 36.8 minutes were observed. Under the same analytical conditions, the retention time of 4,4’-DDT (log Pow = 6.5) was 11.4 and the retention time of benzo[ghi]perylene (log Pow = 7.2) was 18.2 minutes.
It was concluded that the log Pow of test material was > 7.2 (Pow > 1.6 x 10^7).
Conclusions:
Under the conditions of this study the log Pow (and Pow) values of the test material at neutral pH were > 7.2 (Pow > 1.6 x 10^7).
Executive summary:

The partition coefficient of the test material was investigated in accordance with the standardised guidelines OECD 117, EU Method A.24 and OPPTS 830.7570, under GLP conditions using the HPLC method.

Additional information

The partition coefficient of the test material was investigated in accordance with the standardised guidelines OECD 117, EU Method A.24 and OPPTS 830.7570, under GLP conditions using the HPLC method. The study was awarded a reliability score of 1 in accordance with the criteria set forth by Klimisch et al. (1997).
