The biodegradability of the test compound was studied in a manometric respiration test according to OECD 301F. The test compound was incubate with diluted activated sludge from a municipal sewage treatment plant over a period of 28 days. The test was not degraded. The reference substance sodium acetate was degraded according to the validity criteria. In the toxicity control, no indication for toxicity was observed. Therefore, the test substance is not ready biodegradable.

The test was conducted under GLP (Schering report A10370, 19 Aug 2004).
