- The substance is provided commercially as maximum 80wt% solution in a saturated hydrocarbon solvents due to its very high viscosity in concentrations above 80wt% and its extremely viscous to glass-like nature as solvent free material. This property paired with its pyrophoric and water reactive nature renders neat, solvent-free isoprenylaluminum unsafe to be handled directly. As such, the solvent form only is supplied within the EU.
